Head on over to! I've been wanting team balance via Squad shuffle - done by squad score probably, mostly need it when it's a steam roll.
And with persistent Squads from round to round, other features like, map vote which should exclude the last 3 maps played, vote extend map prep timer, because 2 hour matches need more than 5 mins to take a shit and get a drink, well some of the time anyway. But also vote to shorten the prep timer, 'ready up timer' if you will.
Those last ones are kind of important imo, and the opinion of others I have come across.Also to extend on those ideas above, in-game clan organisation stuff with the ability for clan to clan challenges ie 'wars' as some call it. Ability to organize tournaments in game etc.
Emblems/patches for clans that appear in-game on the soldiers, very small so they are not really noticeable at all and do not break immersion etc.Edit: Just remembered another QoL thing, being able to que for more then one server, in my region I don't mind which server I join, they are all well run, also often there will be 10+ players queing to 3 or 4 servers and there might be one that's empty, so once x-amount of players are in que maybe ask them if they would like to join the empty one if more then X(20?) players agree? Then stick them all in the empty one, or something along those lines, load sharing if you will? Working in steam party groups would also work well here.And on the other hand servers with not enough players - server seeding rules in-built, or auto using map layers that are more suited to lower player numbers better, that then auto change/que map to the large map layers once the player count reaches the 'critical mass' needed for the full Squad experience. These should be up to the admin to enable the auto feature or disable it as needed. It's hard for me to see what could possibly be more important that putting players together with teammates they know. That's what makes all militaries - heck, all groups of people - work.Not having a way to invite your friends to your server/squad, talk to your friends out of server, join the server as a squad, etc. this is the #1 source of Squad's problems.
High SL workload, near-complete lack of team cohesion, players being constantly confused about the meta - it all comes from being shuffled with people you've never met every damn game.Squad would be a far better teamwork experience and a far better game if it had V9 assets but had these teamwork-enabling features. Old arcade titles like World of Tanks provide far better tools for player interaction and team organization than Squad does, and IIRC WoT implemented those tools like 10 years ago.And yes, some of the missing teamwork features in Squad can be (poorly) compensated by using Steam Overlay, Discord, and other third-party software. Which is like having to set up ingame voice comms via Skype, because the devs somehow think teamwork-enabling tools should be a secondary concern IN A GAME ABOUT TEAMWORK.PS. Great job otherwise. Every map each team swaps between Blufor and Opfor.US is always Blufor. UK is Blufor except when they are fighting US. RU is Opfor when fighting US or UK, but Blufor when fighting Militia or Insurgents. Militia is Opfor except when fighting Insurgents. Insurgents are always Opfor.
